I'm excited to announce that in the second half of this year, we will be launching the Ringle AI Analysis, which effectively assesses English proficiency. Over the past two years, we have invested and collaborated with KAIST research lab to develop this new product.

The four pillars of Ringle's AI analysis, namely Complexity, Accuracy, Fluency, and Pronunciation, are long-established criteria used in linguistics to evaluate language proficiency. The Ringle team has developed an AI analysis service that utilizes advanced technology to diagnose customers' English language proficiency based on these four criteria.

What is Ringle AI Analysis?

The Ringle AI Analysis is similar to the in-body report used in fitness centers. Just like how someone may appear to be healthy but lacks abdominal fat or has insufficient muscle in their legs, detailed information like this cannot be determined just by looking at a weighing scale.

Similar to how having a detailed understanding of one's body condition allows for effective planning of the next exercise routine, having an accurate analysis of one's English strengths and weaknesses is essential for creating a learning plan and monitoring improvement. The Ringle AI Analysis provided this time is a service that offers a more precise assessment of customers' English proficiency to enhance their language skills.

Receive Tutor's Report and AI Analysis Results Together

From now on, after completing your Ringle lessons, you will receive both the Tutor's Feedback Report and the AI Analysis Results. The newly provided Ringle AI Analysis evaluate your spoken English during the lesson based on four criteria: Complexity, Accuracy, Fluency, and Pronunciation using AI technology.

The Tutor's Report contains qualitative feedback on your English speaking skills from a native speaker based on the content of the lesson. The Ringle AI Analysis provide an objective assessment of your English speaking performance during the lesson using quantitative measures. These two reports complement each other and provide a comprehensive evaluation of your spoken English abilities.

→ Native speaker's qualitative assessment and suggestions for improvement in English speaking skills.

→ It provides an approximate gauge of how proficient your English is perceived by native speakers when listening to your speaking.

💡Ringle AI Analysis - Quantitative Assessment

→ Objective Analysis results based on the evaluation criteria of Accuracy, Complexity, Fluency and Pronunciation through AI analysis.

→ You can accurately assess your current English speaking proficiency at this point.

How can I get Ringle AI Analysis?

📌 Step 1. Book a Ringle Lesson

Please book a Ringle lesson for AI analysis.
AI analysis is not possible for previous lessons.
AI analysis is not available for Writing Focus lessons.

📌 Step 2. Update Lesson Setting

Before starting the scheduled lesson for the diagnosis, the "Lesson Setting" is required.

Choose "Record Lesson".
Choose "Analyze".
Please "Save" the lesson setting.

📌 Step 3. Take a Ringle Lesson

Please proceed with the scheduled lesson.
Approach the lesson with the mindset of assessing your true English proficiency and without any additional preparation beyond reviewing the textbook.

📌 Step 4. Checking AI analysis

After completing a lesson, you can check the [Check AI analysis] for the previous lesson in the "Review" tab of the Ringle.
The AI analysis is available within 24 hours after completing the lesson.

I received a AI analysis. What should I check now?

Follow the steps below to check the diagnostic results and plan for the next lesson!

📌 Step 1. AI Analysis Levels

1️⃣ Complexity

Complexity is diagnosed based on three criteria: vocabulary difficulty, sentence variety, and vocabulary diversity.
A higher level of complexity indicates strong sentence construction skills and the ability to use a wide range of vocabulary.
Receiving a C level of 6 or above places you in the top 25% of Ringle customers. It is evaluated that individuals at this level possess sufficient vocabulary skills to convey their thoughts clearly and in detail on various topics.

2️⃣ Accuracy

Accuracy is diagnosed by examining a total of 13 grammar errors to determine which types of errors are more common and how frequently grammar mistakes occur during the conversation.
A higher level of accuracy indicates a strong ability to construct grammatically correct sentences, and the closer one's English proficiency is to that of a native speaker, the higher the accuracy.
Receiving an A level of 6 or above places you in the top 20% of Ringle customers. Additionally, it is evaluated that individuals at this level can skillfully use complex grammar structures, but may make more mistakes when utilizing advanced grammar.

3️⃣ Fluency

Fluency is diagnosed based on five criteria: average speaking speed, word repetition, use of filler words, and two additional factors.
The higher the level of fluency, the more smoothly and naturally one can convey their opinions at a comfortable pace without interruptions. When someone is perceived as "speaking well," it often indicates a higher level of fluency.
Receiving an F level of 6 or above places you in the top 20% of Ringle customers, indicating a proficiency level where you can comfortably engage in conversations in English without any difficulties.

4️⃣ Pronunciation

Pronunciation was introduced as a new criterion in the Ringle 3.0 update. It assesses English speaking based on two elements: the clarity of pronunciation and rhythm.
A higher Pronunciation score indicates a natural use of all sounds and intonations, making it easy for others to understand even if there are individual pronunciation characteristics.

The AI Analysis levels can vary depending on the speaking topics and situations. Instead of accepting the levels as absolute, consider them as indicators for identifying areas of improvement and setting goals to enhance your overall English proficiency. Use them as a guide to determine which aspects you can work on to achieve a better command of the English language.

📌 Step 2. Focus on the content that you will concentrate on for future studies.

1️⃣ Recommended Focus Area

Ringle AI Analysis suggest three recommended learning areas prioritized for your study based on the improvement areas identified in each C, A, F, and P section.
You can find more detailed analysis results in the [View All Focus Areas] section.
By clicking on each focus area, you can access the specific sentences where mistakes were made, along with the script and audio file. Listening to the sentences again can help you understand why the mistakes occurred.
Each focus area includes [Ringle's Tip], providing explanations on the specific causes of errors and how to correct them.

2️⃣ My Focus Area

It's not possible to fix all improvement areas at once. Choose three focus areas from the overall focus areas or the recommended focus areas to focus on for the next few weeks.
Monitor how you progress in each area during your lessons and consider changing the learning areas you want to concentrate on.

📌 Step 3. Take a look at your accumulated AI analysis results to track your progress and growth.

AI Analysis Statistics

Once one or more AI analysis results are generated, you can access the AI analysis statistics in the "My Ringle" tab.
In this section, you can easily see the distribution of your AI Analysis levels over time and assess your English improvement progress.
Check if the areas you are focusing on for improvement are indeed improving and set goals for your next English lessons.
If you notice recurring low scores in certain areas, examine specific improvement strategies to concentrate your learning efforts on those particular areas.

🟣 Ringle User Kim, Completed Lesson over 55 times

The results from the detailed analysis were very similar to the issues I discovered after having sessions with various tutors. It was helpful to review and confirm the mistakes I made. Normally, during Lingual lessons, I don't listen to the entire 40-minute recording, but only the parts where I think there might be errors in what the tutor said or what I said, and I only review the notes the tutor provided. However, thanks to the Rintle AI Analysis results, I was able to simplify this process, which was great.

Ringle AI Analysis FAQ

I forgot to activate the recording function and had the lesson. Can I still receive the AI Anaylsis?

Unfortunately, if there is no recording file available for that lesson, you cannot receive the AI analysis. You will need to receive the analysis through your next Ringle lesson.

Why can't I receive Ringle AI analysis for writing lessons?

Writing lessons mainly involve conversations for correcting written texts rather than natural conversation situations. Therefore, it is difficult to provide AI analysis reports for natural conversation situations.

Is it possible to receive analysis for lessons before applying for AI diagnostics service?

Unfortunately, analysis for past lessons are not possible. Please activate and receive AI analysis in your future lessons!

How are the recording files used in Ringle AI Analysis?

For the purpose of collaborative academic research to enhance our services (such as AI feature development and analysis algorithm design), the information will be utilized.
